A plaque honoring the "Native Son" of Route 66, Will Rogers, rests in the park at the foot of Santa Monica Blvd. From the blue waters of Lake Michigan to the pounding surf of the Pacific Ocean, our Route 66 odyssey has come to an end. Next, Becky and I will travel another fabled route, the Pacific Coast Highway, enroute to her new home in San Francisco, but that's another story.
