022 AMTK # 22.. Ridgeley Twr (Springfield) IL

Route 66 passes in close promimity to three surviving manned interlockings in Downstate Illinois. Here, Amtrak # 22 passes Ridgeley Tower, in Springfield IL, which still guards the crossing of UP (GM&O) and I&M (C&IM). An alignment of old City Route 66 is only a few hundred feet west.
